Iris plants can be planted at any time during the growing season. However, you will get the best results using potted plants in the spring and bare root rhizomes in late summer. Bare-root plants are more economical and most growers offer only this format. We do have a limited supply of potted irises available for pickup during May and June. Potted plants are $3.50 more than our catalogue prices to cover the cost of materials, handling and over-wintering.

When to order
Orders will be accepted anytime during the growing/digging season. Some Iris are indicated as being in limited supply so order early to avoid disappointment. All orders must be pre-paid by cheque, money order or inter-bank transfer in order to establish our digging / shipping preference.

Irises Available in 2014, in limited supply or sold out for this season may be reserved this year with a minimal $10.00 deposit per variety reserved. Price and availability will be confirmed in the spring of 2014 at which time the balance owing is payable in order to confirm the order for August, 2014 pick-up or shipment.

Shipping
To ensure freshness and top quality plants, your order will be dug and shipped during late July or early August depending on growing conditions and your hardiness zone. All rhizomes will be washed, dried and labeled prior to packing. We will confirm by E-mail or telephone when your order has been shipped or is ready for pick-up.

Why Trails End Iris Gardens
Our promise is to supply only top quality plants, true to variety name and pest-free. In the unlikely chance you are not happy with the quality of the rhizomes, please notify us within one week of receipt. Upon return of the plants, we will refund your money. We cannot guarantee the plants after that time, since Mother Nature does not provide a guarantee of ideal growing conditions. Please refer to our growing instructions or contact us and we will assist you.

Shipments within Canada only.
There will be a small shipping & handling charge (see chart on Order Form) for shipped orders. You will receive confirmation of your order and in the event we are unable to complete your order in full, an adjustment will be made by return cheque.

What you will receive
You will receive a generous rhizome for each variety ordered. The name of each plant will be written on the foliage. Planting instructions are on this web-site and we also a send them along with your irises. Please ensure you have the right growing conditions. It is important to plant immediately in order to ensure rooting before winter freeze-up.

Substitutions
WE NEVER SUBSTITUTE WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL. While we cannot predict the demand or co-operativeness of Mother Nature, we will do our best to fill every order with the variety desired. If we are unable to complete your order, we will contact you with a suggestion of a suitable substitute or, if you wish, send a refund cheque.

Shipping Priority
Orders will be shipped on a first-come, first-serve basis during the month of August. Customers in the harsher, more northerly climates usually have their irises shipped during the last week of July. If you prefer, you can pick up your order in person between early August and mid September. Please indicate your preference for shipping or Pick-up on the Order Form.
